ATI samples next-generation X1000 mobile graphics processors.

ATI today confirmed that it is shipping samples of "all next generation mobile parts" to ODMs and OEMs for qualification purposes. The company indicated that more than one mobile chip is heading into the market, but did not say which actual models the product line will include. While it was unclear when notebooks will be available with processors of the X1000 family, ATI said that vendors currently are "readying for production". Nvidia today released its latest performance mobile graphics processor, the GeForce Go 7800 GTX, and was able to achieve a significant performance improvement over the preceding product generation. MSI introduces HDMI-compliant graphics card for $250.
Micro-Star International (MSI) on August 8 introduced its MSI NX7600GT Diamond Plus graphics card, the world"s first, as the company claims, graphics card that is certified to support High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) technology. According to MSI, the HDMI-compliant graphics card will be priced at $250, with availability in the global market slated for the end of September.
