Elpida samples 2Gbit 80nm made DDR2 for server applications.

After introducing its 80 nm DDR2-800 memory during June, Japan-based Elpida Memory today announced it is shipping 80nm made 2 Gbit DDR2 SDRAM samples. These samples are shipped for customer evaluation, and the devices are expected to be used initially in high-density memory modules for high performance servers.
