MD RPTV of 60" and above three times cheaper than PDP TVs in US.

The ASP (average selling price) of 60" and above microdisplay-based (MD-based) rear-projection TVs (RPTVs) fell below $3500 for the first time and was almost three times less expensive than that of similar-sized PDP (plasma display panel) TVs in the US, according to market research firm Quixel Research. Consequently, both the unit and revenue share for the 60" and above segments in the US grew in the first quarter 2006.
