MSI and Gigabyte dismiss merger rumors.

Micro-Star International (MSI) and Gigabyte Technology today dismissed rumors that the two motherboard makers have been in talks of a merger. MSI chairman Joseph Hsu dismissed a media report circulating in China that cited a senior MSI executive, Henry Lu, as claiming the company had started contacting Gigabyte five years ago over a possible merger.
