Samsung ships more than 15 million GDDR3 memory units.

Samsung said it shipped more than 15 million units of its Graphics Double Data-Rate (GDDR3) graphic memory in 2004. The memory currently is available in a 128 MByte version for notebooks as well as 256 and 512 MByte versions for desktops. Clock speeds of the 8x32 graphics memory are 500 and 700 MHz and offers 56 percent more performance than GDDR1 memory. (THG)

NEC announced it will begin shipping a new high-end, amorphous silicon thin film transistor liquid crystal display in sample numbers next month. The new model targets usage scenarios such as digital photo editing, digital pre-press operation and various types computer design work. According to NEC, the new model supports Adobe"s RGB technology, which is considered to be the standard color space in the professional color processing fields.
