Shuttle Jumps on the All-in-One Bandwagon.

All-in-ones are fast becoming all the rage and it looks like Shuttle doesnò€™t want to miss the party. Like it or not, more and more manufacturers are churning out all-in-one PCs with Intelò€™s Atom or Nvidiaò€™s Ion inside. Looking at a list of products from Nvidiaò€™s Ion partners shows us no less than seven all-in-ones, including machines from Asus, ECS, Flextronics and Pegatron. This week Shuttle is showing off its Atom-based X50 all-in-one. Specs-wise youò€™re looking at Intelò€™s Atom 330 and 945GC chipset combination, with 1GB DDR2 memory (upgradeable to 2 GB) and a 160 GB HDD (with 600 GB option). Youò€™ve got a 1.3-megapixel webcam is built into the top bezel of the system, a feature that is fast becoming ubiquitous with netbooks and nettops, and a 4-in-1 card reader is as well as all the usual suspects, portswise (including three USB 2.0). When it comes to the display, the X50 packs a 15.6-inch 1336Ó—768 16:9 touchscreen display but Digitimes reports that Shuttle also has models starting at 10.2-inch and ranging higher available on demand for outside the consumer market (e.g. digital signs and kiosks). Price is somewhere around $600, according to rumors. Looks like weò€™ll soon be inundated with all-in-ones. Anyone plan on buying one when this barrage of products finally hits the market?
