TransFlash becomes MicroSD.

The SD Association (SDA), the organisation that oversees the SD memory card format, has formally taken on board the TransFlash specification and renamed it MicroSD. TransFlash was developed by memory card specialist SanDisk - who, as you can imagine, is cock-a-hoop over the news - and has been adopted by some of the mobile phone world"s biggest players, including Samsung, Motorola, LG and Kyocera.

Chicago (IL) - According to Internet security monitor Websense, an increasing trend is growing on Myspace, the social networking site that has an audience of millions of daily viewers, which involves tricking users into clicking on fake YouTube videos that could eventually lead to unknowingly installing damaging adware files.

Solidata SSDs: Record Power Consumption.
While we were testing a pile of new SSDs we found two models that were particularly interesting - in a questionable manner. The company called Solidata provides two high performance SSDs called the X1 at 64 GB and the X2 at 128 GB. As you might guess, the X1 is a SLC-flash based device while the X2 is based on MLC flash.
